Jim Baird

Jim Baird is an adventurer, filmmaker, writer, and Season 4 winner of History Channel's Alone. His deep love of the natural world has taken him on self-guided, self-propelled expeditions through the Adlatok River in northern Quebec and Labrador (reached via the Du Pas and George Rivers), a five-week journey down the Kuujjua River and along the Arctic coast 300 miles north of the Arctic Circle, and a 36-day solo winter trek across the northern Ungava Peninsula. Jim has built a career around sharing the wilderness with audiences — bringing them into landscapes few will ever see firsthand through his writing and photography in Field & Stream, Canoe & Kayak, BeAlive, and Outdoor Canada, and his video work with BBC Worldwide, Discovery Channel, and A+E Networks.
